Why do i get so much Negative Feedback about Windows Live OneCare ?

I have heard people ranting about not liking Windows Live OneCare.

I have a feeling those people think that One Care is just an Antispyware/Antivirus Application, well it does much more than that.

I figured i would post the features, so everyone knows exactly what it does..

    Windows Live OneCare Features

With its all-in-one protection and maintenance, Windows Live OneCare takes the guesswork out of making sure your PC stays virus-free and works at its best. As a subscriber, you'll get four main areas of service: Protection Plus, Performance Plus, Backup and Restore, and Help and Support.

    Real-time and on-demand antivirus scanner

Automatically scans and cleans files on your PC, including files you receive via MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger.

Includes an option to scan existing files or folders on your PC instantly by right-clicking them.

Checks the files on your PC for viruses and other malicious programs and blocks access to infected files until you decide what to do with them.

Updates your virus definition files automatically when your computer is connected to the Internet.

    Managed, two-way firewall

Includes ongoing policy updates to its blocked and allow list, requiring minimum intervention on your part.

    OneCare Advisories

We'll send you notices for any breaking issues related to your PC's security.

    Antispyware integration

Integration of Windows Defender antispyware technology.

    Microsoft Update integration

Scans your PC and provides a tailored selection of updates you can choose to download and install.
    • Performance Plus
    Tune-up

Automates a series of tasks, including defragmenting your PC's hard disk.
Scheduled to run uns automatically or as often as you like

    Removal of unnecessary files

Scans your PC and removes temporary and other unnecessary files that slow down your computer. Scheduled to run automatically or as often as you like.
    • Backup and Restore
    Automated backup

Backs up your files to CD, DVD, or external hard drive and allows you to select files you want to back up by specific categories, such as music, pictures, and video.

Scheduled to run automatically or as often as you like.

Choice of full or incremental backup

Full backup makes a copy of all your important files and folders. Incremental backup backs up only those files that are new or have changed since your last backup.

Restoration of missing files or all files

Option to restore specific files or all files missing from your PC, or mapped to a new PC.
    • Help and Support
    Windows Live OneCare Help Center

Offers e-mail, chat, and phone support.

Not to mention, it integrates with Windows Vista Perfectly

It was on another vBulletin forum, and some MS IRC channels..

Feel free to remove the thread if you find it to lean to much towards advertising.
I just wanted everyone to know what features it includes..

Yeah, I have been complaining about it on the chat channel. And I have my reasons, but obviously that has nothing to do with this forum. So no need to go into that here It looks promising, but I am afraid it will end there.

windows live care simply sucks. it has many features, none of which are good at what they're intended for. fact is, no firewall is better than Agnitum Outpost and no antivirus beats Eset NOD32. test results speak for themselves.

I was reading somewhere that Windows Vista will not let you create ISO images to your hardrive, except the most expensive version only. Is that true?

Sorry, this should have been posted in the Windows vista thread.

No, but there are some issues with the 4GB limit on some systems..

People will complain anything Windows. Many people have a biasness against MS. They'll carry over their biasness and find things that are wrong with a product, the company or Bill Gates.

Had Windows Live been an open source product (I suspect) people will jump on the band wagon to support it.
