Why won't anything from my site show up on a google search?

I have a newly up and running vbulletin site, engineconversions.org. I added a few posts so far but have attracted zero members after 1 week. I am not doing anything yet to promote the site and need ideas for that. I have found also, that I cannot find quotations from my site on google searches. Do I have to make an agreement with google or other search engines to get my site to show up?

It can take up to 3-6months to get your site indexed in google. Read their webmaster FAQ, it's of great help

Submit your URLs to the big three (Google, MSN and Yahoo) so that they know your site exists. They should then start to index your site in a few weeks to a couple of months time.

As already stated it can take a fairly long time for your site to show up in search engines.

Plus get your self some inbound link from forums & link exchanges etc.
