    Hello all , i have a qeustion.
    I was checken the other day some of my ip adressen that i use. And what did i see. Other people are using the same IP....Can you tell me how this is possible. I dont even know these persons...

    Well all things considered its more than possible that some people may be usiong the same provider as you and have happened to get the same ipaddress.

      An IP is not a unique way of identifying a person. There are only 4,228,250,625 possible IPs (a whole lot of which are reserved for LAN use, subnets, broadcasts, etc.), so they tend to get recycled via DHCP. IPv6 allows for a lot more IPs, but nobody uses IPv6 yet.

            Definitly looking forward to IPv6. Well, sort of. Memorizing your IP block won't be as easy as memorizing say, 216.183.51.*. Now it's

            xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx
