  • WAMP/Apache question

    Hi there,
if anyone could help me with this it's appreciated:
I'm running WAMP/Apache on Windows XP Home, and have made a few simple testing web pages.

Is there any way to configure WAMP/Apache to prevent the outside world from viewing my site??

    Thanks,
    Bexy

If you're running a router you should be able to block access from the outside world there.
All you can do on Apaches side is set up a htaccess password protection

You can just flat out deny, you don't need to use a password.

You can use htaccess (or just put it right into httpd.conf):
      Code:
      Order Deny,Allow
      Deny from all
      Allow from 127.0.0.1
The latest version of WAMP has outside access off by default, and you can turn it on by clicking the icon and choosing the 'Put Online' menu option.
