Hardware on new site ..

Just curious .. what kinda hardware is the new site running? Any special software?

It is an 800 MHz Celeron, with 64MB of RAM, and Windows ME. The special software is Microsoft Office XP. I believe they also got the $400 EarthLink discount at Circuit City, a free scanner, and webcam.

Actually this site (and two other large sites, plus some smaller ones) are running on two new servers, both hosted by Verio. One is being used for Apache/PHP and the other is for MySQL. Both servers are dual Pentium-III 850's with 1GB of RAM and 2x36GB SCSI drives.

Just curious, does Verio charge for bandwidth between two servers?

The folks at dialtoneinternet say they'll charge me for any data usage between in / out of my server even if its between two servers on the same switch.. UNLESS, I get a mini-switch between the two servers.

Nope, Verio measures everything at the switch (where it should be!).
