Demon here too, I'd have used NTL since they have 10mbps but they don't service my area.

I've never had to use their technical support but the Static IP address is helpful as well as the hostname.

Comcast Cable Internet. I peak out at about 4Mb/sec. A friend of mine has the same service, just got his modem replaced, and now sees 7Mb/sec download times. I think I'll be calling them soon

NTL 10mb broadband. Not bad at times but i'm not always getting the best out of it. I did the right thing though, I made sure it was a seperate modem and not run through the NTL tv box!

I hear though that after 12 months if you compain to NTL they offer you deals so another 6 months to go ;-)

I use Cox Cable which is easily one of the best major companies I've ever dealt with. You can actually get real, live helpful people on the phone right away - a rarity these days.

I'm on a small local provider at 2200 kb/s at the moment.
We could go up to 6Mb, but the cost simply isn't justified for me.
Interestingly, we have a rather high broadband penetration here in Switzerland, with 23,1 %, even though prices are relatively high compared with other countries.
                    Best Regards

Yep, 20mbit is around 2,2 megabytes per second, downstream. And 2mbit up is about 240 kilobytes per second upstream. This comes in very handy when working for Jelsoft and doing installations and upgrades and making backup for customers etc.

$50/mo for Verizon FiOS. It's pretty nice, 15Mb down at my house, about 2Mb up.
