  • [HowTo] Increase your forums daily new posts amount.

Here's how to increase the number of new daily posts on your forums...

    Get a new server

My forum was on a P4 3.2ghz with 1gb ram and 1 sata disk.
Daily number of new posts, ~1200
Things slowed down at peak times.

Got me a Dual Opteron 265 (4 cores) with 2gb ram and 2 scsi u320 disks.
Daily number of new posts, ~1700
    No slow downs

This will ofcourse only work if you have a slow server.

Yep, if your site loads fast it stays interesting for the visitors. If it takes more then a few seconds they loose interest.
