Celeron D 325 (2.53 GHz), 1 GB RAM, 80 GB hard drive with no bay for expansion, no AGP slot, and integrated video. Yeah, you know you want it.
It'll be my Windows Server 2003 system. My main system sucks less, but what do you want for a $203 system? And only suckers pay the price Dell quotes.--filburt1, vBulletin.org/vBulletinTemplates.com moderator

CrazyCelerons are perfect in the server environment. If you can determine how much CPU speed your site will need, there is no reason to buy a market CPU that is never going to reach 100%. I wouldn't put a Celeron on my desktop to save my life, but I would definately put one in a server.

Wow. Windows Server 2003 didn't include drivers for any of the basic devices in the system because they're all onboard. Setting stuff up at 800 x 600 with no audio and no network connection sucks.
But I now have a Windows Server 2003 system that will be my dedicated web, file, and database servers, plus Exchange when I figure it out. I easily configured IIS so that only members of the Windows domain can view pages; everybody else is denied access. Now my test vB forums will actually be legal by being protected from the outside. I set up Remote Desktop Connection so I can just leave the system on in the basement while I'm upstairs.
The Celeron is surprisingly fast. It boots faster than my desktop. Yes, that's because it has a quarter of the hardware attached to it, but it sounded good, didn't it?
Anybody know of client software that can run on Windows XP to remotely monitor a Windows Server 2003 system?--filburt1, vBulletin.org/vBulletinTemplates.com moderator

OH! And another question can you turn a PC into a MAC like I have a old pc and if I got a Mac OS X disk and installed it onto my old pc would it work? What do I need to do in order to make my pc work as a mac? Or should I just buy a MacBook Pro?

by DannyITRI understand there is a rule for posting a suggestion that there must be a JIRA link. I did a quick search but I find the JIRA system quite complicated. If you need to close this thread fine but please...
