  • More storage and More Ram

More and more as I go I am really starting to feel like I don't have enough ram and storage. I currently run 512, it does ok for most of my regular applications, however multi tasking with photoshop and IE is somewhat painful (same would go for firefox) not to mention running other im/email clients. Currently I'm looking at as far as ram goes, I have a 333 module currently loaded, and normally I'd just buy two more 333's to fillup my 3 slots, however the 333's of the same brand are as expensive as the 1GB 400 so I figured might as wellupgrade all the way? Since I am going to replace it all I'm open to other suggestions about other ram manufactuers, etc.

Now, I've not kept up with technology as much as I like, so I'm abit behind on the SATA reading, and I know theres a new standard (or almost standard?) coming our out...

Anyway I happen to prefer Seagate and then WD, not a huge fan of other hardrive makers, I'm looking for something with 200gb+ of storage that will work on my board, and possibly future systems, not sure how all of this sata stuff works and is interchanged. I remember when they told us SATA was going to be directly backwords compatabile with PATA ha!

I'm overly happy with my processor, I'm not looking to upgrade it at this time as it does a wonderfuly job. Makes my P4 3.06 system look like my mac mini almost.

Just need some increased storage for a multitued of things and more ram in general.

512mb is scary little in my world of vB support..

I have 1gb and will upgrade to 4gb on my next 64bit pc next year. If I get the same strip i use now for half the money I will upgrade to 2gb by adding 1 more on this system. HD space is constantly running out. I hope to add 600gb 24/7 reliable seagate raid hd's on a promise card in the next few months.
