To register channels you usually need to link your IRCd to IRC Services which run as a seperate process either locally or remotely on another box. I don't have any links for you I'm afriad, however I'm sure if you visit any IRC help channel they might let you know which Services are the best to link to your IRCd version.

I think PTLink IRCd is probably the best/easiest out there. IMHO

Alrigt, are you running a ircd on win or *nix??
If nix, I suggest using Unreal 3.1.1, with Daylight Services for Chanserv,Nickserv,Memoserv, and Operserv....

Right, I installed UnrealIRC - and everytime I type a command such as:

                    /NickServ help

                    I get this mesage:

Services are currently down. Please try again later.
                    Any ideas?

BTW, Im trying this out on Windoze before sticking it up on a unix server

Trying to run the windows port of services is almost impossible, its not the best port in the world. With it on *nix, all you have to do to both is ./Config, make, make install, then make the conf's.....
