Vb 4.0...?

Hi all,

Im sure this is a question asked time after time? I have searched for news about a 4.0 version of these forums as I remember reading that its in development? Im not sure, the main reason of this post is because im getting a little bored of VB forums design, not all the graphical look but how new features seem to be thrown in.

Can anyone that works at VB explain if there is a new version of the forums that is maybe going to rival IPB in means of time taken to design the new features?

It's in development, but we don't have any information on the features/design/release date.

And it could be several months to maybe even a few years away too ...who knows

You cant release anything? Im very near to switching forums, I have been with Vb for a couple of years now and I dont like how its designed, I have been researching IPB and find it much cleaner... it would be a shame for me to switch but its an idea I may take.

If you could give any info on whats coming even if i knew the design was going to be improved to feel less cluttered, I would maybe wait it out for the new version you will be offering...

What design do you feel is cluttered? Backend? Frontend? Administration?

Why not express you concerns and issues in our feedback forum and try to provide ways for us to improve the product instead of keeping quiet about it?

We rely on users like you to provide us with quaility feed back so we can make the future product better.

vB can look like IPB, which I agree has a cleaner style. You just need to play around with the styles a bit.

Given today's technologies and vB's template system, you can make vB look and feel like just about anything you want; be it a traditional website or a Web 2.0 (ugh, I hate that term) web-app.
