    Custom Blog / Publisher

As the last blog project I was a part of was supposed to be done in February of this year (and was shut down months ago because it was going nowhere) in August I began writing a simple but powerful PHP/MySQL blog system. I never finished it though due to starting school and a job and so forth.

However, I think I have enough time to re-write it from the ground up with more scalability in mind. The unfinished system featured disable/enable comments on a per-post basis, multiple posts per date, create custom albums for photos, and uploading those photos to your server. It also featured quite a powerful dashboard.

There are two things I'd like to feature in my re-written system, and that is web-based templates and cookies. If you have any experience in either of these, please post here .

Also, if you feel I'd just be wasting my time writing this, please tell me before I start. The user-end style/design portion of this project is due to start December 12, 2005. The actual back-end coding development of this project is set to start January 1, 2006.

    Thank you for all input.

Well, think of it this way: if it was January 1, 2005, it would already be done .

        Corrected.

I'm always interested in seeing new software. I personally dislike the way WordPress is setup and b2evolution is nice, but unless you need multiple blogs, it's a bit overloaded.

As long as you provided SEO friendly URL's, such as what WordPress provides and a better templating system, you'd have me hooked .
