              To a grocery store?! Blimey...

At least in my old job I'd get 4 or 5 bottles of wine for christmas (the joy of working in the wine trade ).

Largest christmas bonus I got was $16,000 in 1996. The company I worked for had a good year so took a portion of the profits and put them in an employee pool. There was just under $4 Million divided up among 114 employees based on position and seniority. I had only been there 4 months so far, the bonus was larger than what I had made in salary so far. Even then my bonus was the smallest.

When I was a teen working in the local cinema, the Christmas bonus was $8.00. The cost of two movie tickets at that time. At least they gave it to us in cash.

When I used to have a paper-round back in 2003. I used to be really friendly to everyone I delivierd papers to. After that they give me about £5 in tips, or a Xmas pressie.

One round I got £120 plus a little paycheck from the shop owner (£15)

I was the third man in a three man IT department for the entire global coperation(all of the US and the UK), I handled 90% of the incomming support calls, along with repair of all of the field laptops, which included designing new ways to get them out back into the field faster.
