    More outta Google?

    Google now has Google Video!

    What's Google Video?

Google Video is where you can show your videos (non pornography and obscene content) for free, or for a price you must specify to Google.

    How can I access this?

    http://video.google.com/ is where you start!

Can I upload a video for the world to see?

Yeah you can. It's fast, fun, and easy!

    What are the requirements?

First of all, you need a Google Account. Get one free at www.google.com, or get a Gmail account with your mobile at www.gmail.com*.

Then comes the system requirements for the upload program.

    System Requirements:

Windows 98,2000/NT/XP any edition but server
    64MB of RAM
    Less than 1MB free space
A live internet connection (DSL or High-Speed internet recommended)

You must review the Terms and Conditions before continuing. Please please please read it, it's really important.

*Text message rates cost about 5 Cents to most providers, or included with your value bundles.

How can I view it? (Or what is the system requirements?)

You will need Macromedia Flash Player. All videos are .swf (Macromedia Flash) streaming movies.

    What are some popular examples?

Try Family Guy or The Simpsons. Those are my personal favorites.

    Oh, and what about pricing?

Yes, that. Well, if you want to put a price on it, Google will charge the viewers a price you specify. However, this could bring viewers a pain in the back with their payment, so please be considerate and give them a reason and a considerate amount.

What if I show something that Google said is bad?

Rest assured that Google will e-mail you unaccepted videos. No, they won't be fierce, but if it goes on, your account may be deleted.

    Is that it?

    Yes, that's it.

Why am I posting this all?

Because I like this service and I wish to share it with all of you people out there!

    Any last words?

    The link is: http://video.google.com/.

    Old news, but thanks anyway.

But must they use Flash? Not just because I personally hate it, but because it doesn't preserve the aspect ratio, doesn't let you save the video, nor any other tricks I may want to do with the video like put it on my iPod.

I asked them. They say it's just so you don't copy ideas (that's what we call personal copyright)

Since when did they use flash? Last time I checked, they used a modified version of VLC player

It's Called VLC player? Is it a flash extention? Because I'm not a complete professional with Macromedia Flash products. I am just a whiz with networking.
