    Internet Assigned Numbers Authority

Can somebody tell me who they are. I have read on Google they have something to with domains that are registered, I thought they just gathered information on active domains etc. Anyway I've had a person on my site all week with an IP that matched this same

    Code:
    Internet Assigned Numbers Authority
This didn't bother me as I just thought they were like a BOT or something. But when I changed my message in the header that Guests see to read "there are other hidden boards here that only members can view". As soon as a did this, that person joined the site who's IP matched the same: Internet Assigned Numbers Authority

He then replied to a thread saying what did I have to hide as though he had been watching the site all week as a guest and only joined as soon as he saw this new message to Guests about "hidden boards" that only members can wiew (hence he joined to have a good look now).

Well I'm all out of ideas as to whats going on here, and why this persons IP showed up as being "Internet Assigned Numbers Authority" instead of a regular ISP. I thought he might have been using a proxy, but when I did a search on the results of his IP in Whois and came up with "Internet Assigned Numbers Authority", then read in google what they are. I'm not sure about this person is now.

Here is the site information: http://www.iana.org/

I'm thinking that user is proxied off of the IANA.

I wouldn't know, without seeing the IP for myself. Your other best bet is to run a traceroute.
