didn't they add a revolutionaire AI in this game??? I think i read that somewhere.

normal RTS, they just launch the same assault over and over again. In AOE3, they will try that a few times, and then chose another strategy if they fail...

Oh right right. How come I have totally forgotten about the DirectX software. I was forced to install it while I was playing AOE2: The Age of Kings in the old days. And I thought that I've already installed DirectX on my computer after the re-format so... thanks for reminding me about it.

d3d9.dll is a DirectX dll.. Most likely it is needed to play this game.

I can't say I'm to impressed. I know its just a demo, but I have a gut feeling I'm going to prefer AOE II over III. Reason being, the grid layout. In both age of empires I and II, the grid was 90 degree angles, and they switched to basically no grid in III which makes building walls and cities unorganized. It feels like Rise of Nations in that you can't build huge kingdoms anymore, just small towns.

The graphics are stunning and they've improved a lot of the visuals and the full version will be the true test, but the demo, isn't all that great.

The game can be played online so yeah, it's a multiplayer.

I was never an avid fan of AoE. I love RTS' though (cant get enough of command and conquer and rise of nations). I'll give the demo a try though, if I like it I'll get the full game

Is this only singleplayer or multiplayer as well?

    MGM out

Wow, the images really look good specially the scenaries, it seems the topic is the full American continent or only North America?

Seems like it would be time to upgrade soon
