Looks way nicer than the Xbox 360...except for the controller which looks ridiculous and uncomfortable. I also prefer the Xbox/Gamecube's style D-pad with all segments connected with one piece of plastic than the PS1/2/3's separate buttons.
edit:- Cool, HDMI out
- Specs imply wired controllers ("4 front USB ports")
- Cool, Bluetooth, although I don't see how the console could use it except for (expensive) wireless controllers
- They'd be stupid if they didn't include the hard drive; nice that it's removable; it better damn well be standard, but you know it won't be, of course
- 1080p output is awesome and the GPU must be incredibly powerful to do it (that's 1920 x 1080, remember, which most PCs can't even do; nobody hype up the so-called "Cell" architecture because a fast CPU is worthless without a fast GPU)

Reminds me alot of a mac... so does the xbox360, must be that PPC that worked its way in.
Think I'll opt for a silver or black console come time.,

I like the LOOK of the controller, but I have no clue how it will feel in-hand.
The PS3 does look great, but I, also, will probably get the silver or black version (if available).
MGS4 was announcedToo bad there aren't any videos...
And too bad the FF7: Tech Demo is just a demo and not an actual game
MGM out

I'll have to see if it is worth it depending on what games Square Enix releases on the other consoles. I have only purchased their games for the PS1 and the PS2 for my own personal enjoyment. Have never seen anything else that appeals to me that was exclusive to the console. However, since Square Enix is no longer a Playstation exclusive development company, the draw to purchase a PS3 isn't as high as their previous consoles.Translations provided by Google.

Because they do it using emulation, if they make it backwards compatible to PS2 my guess is that automatically makes it compatible back to PS1, sort of like emulating the emulator .. or something like that!
I wonder if the accessories will still work. I quite like the games like Time Crisis when you have a gun. I hope either the guns will work or a new wireless one will work with it. That would be very cool.
