    Public access computers

    A question for everyone here:
would you ban the IP address of public access terminals??

The reason I ask it is that I'm actually posting from one now, I'm on the move so I use them frequently...

I suppose there are advantages and disadvantages to banning public IPs.

    Just a thought.

The problem with banning public computers is that there is ambiguity about whether a member is a banned user re-registered or a new member, or a troll - unlike a home or business ISP, you can't really be sure.

    What does everyone think?

I wouldn't ban an IP until the user tries to bypass the account-ban I set for him (or her).
