    Weird thread on VB forum

    On one VBulletin forum, I found this odd thread:


    Anyone else seen this before??? I found it very weird!!!

              I think he is pointing to the fact that the second post shoud be the first... Must be some time problem.

              "First" post was made after "second" post per the post id. Maybe a merge issue?

                  A bit unrelated, but is that why sometimes members with a higher user ID show up as being registered before, say, user ID 1?

                    IDs in the database are not necessarily related to the date they were created. If you redefine the key of the column (IIRC), MySQL will fill in any missing "gaps" in the IDs. It's quite possible, for example, for thread ID 1 to be created after thread ID 123,532.

                        The more simple answer on why Higher User IDs were created before User ID #1 is that the owner imported the information from another forum software after he installed vBulletin.
