Anyone had problems with APC 1.0.9???

I've got some very strange problems with tables not being correctly updated (thread table not updated when a new reply is made) after upgrading to APC 1.0.9.

    Anyone else experienced these?

We had to disable APC cache because it would simply stop working at times and we would only get blank pages. Another problem is it wouldn't reset or the reset functionality would stop working.

Funny you should say that! I just got several blank pages on mine.
I'm about to remove it. I'll give the bware cache a quick try, but if I have the slightest problem I'm giving up on caching completely

I downloaded the 1.09, but the changelog only goes up to 1.08 and the version shown in phpinfo() is 1.08 so I'm not sure

I'm not really sure it's worth all the hassle. Have you seen any speed improvement? Are you using it on your big forums?

              eva2000:

Are you using shm or mmap? I was seeing the blank pages with th shm implementation.

If you're using mmap; where have you got the cache dir?

well from the APC mailing list it says the version number wasn't updated in the file so it's 1.09 with 1.08 listing

i'm using shm version and i'm not sure what to make of the stats i see

                hits 9298
                misses 40
                hit rate 99.57%
                tt memroy 32.00MB
                memory free 27.36MB
                memory used 4.64MB

members on my forum have noticed a tremendous speed increase especially those on dialup... i'm on cable so it ain't that noticeable

I've had the bware cache running for 24 hours now with no problems. You might want to try that. I compiled it as seperate module and enabled it via php.ini
