    just wanted to ask..

as i came into the communty just before vB3 was released, ive only only seen 2 and 3, but one of my admins (who's been around longer than me) told me vB1 (the first version made) was a CGI script forums and not a PHP/mySQL forums like 2 and 3. i was wondering if this is true, if anyones been here long enough to remember vB1?

or if any staff are reading this, is there a version of vB1 archived somewhere? just out of interest, is it possible to get a version? if it was CGI scripted i wanna see it.. would be very interesting thanks

    vBulletin was always php/mysql.
To see what the older versions of vb looked like do a search. There is a thread that has links to several v1 versions that are still running.

As AWS said, vB's always been php/mysql. In fact, the whole point behind the creation of vB was to have a php/mysql alternative to CGI stuff.

I believe most of the code in v1 was used in v2, although v3 was a complete rewrite.
