For some reason my PC (internet/ethernet) keeps on breaking, but if I switch it off for an hour or so, then switch it back on, it's fine
Windows XP with SP2 ALWAYS takes 10 minutes to load
It does the black screen with the logo and blue loading bar, then it goes all black, and takes so long to load that my monitor switches onto standby
When the net is broken, it is looking for an "ethernet controller" and my two network cards don't show up in hardware devices
It really is driving me mental. I spent £1000 on it and I'm contemplating selling it now, enough is enough
I have an:
Epox motherboard
Onboard Realtek
Seperate Realtek (for internet, via cable modem and ethernet cable)
1GB RAM
FX5900
I have tried EVERY update windows update has to offer, but nothing helps the loading time, or the amount that it breaks
