    Rule Question

Just one question about the rules, it says nothing like hacking. What about if they are talking about using hacks in online games and linking to them ect? Is that against the rules?

That forum in particular is all about hacking in a game and what hacks to use, download ect.

EDIT: Also another site full of hacking the same game.

If we check a link in a signature and find it has copyrighted material that is being broken we can remove it. I'm not too sure of the content of that forum, so I can't tell in that case.

Both those forums have threads on hacking the same game, using hacks and how to install them. Isn't the violating the rules of the forum?

I don't know the copyright law for game cracks or patches, or trainers.

Well apparently according the the United States Law game cracks and hacking are illegal. The hacks are for online use over a widespread community, which violates other laws from other countries.

I think for a signature it isn't too much of a hassle. But feel free to report the user and one of our staff will evaluate the signature. You can use a PM

It's not a signature it's the whole forum (or most of it). The MPC one is all about hacks apart from 1 sub section while the unkown cheats has some hacking boards and some cheat boards (cheats are legal) but hacking is not.

it is illigal to use the trainers in the online games, but not to distribute them. it aint warez either coz a guy creates a program and releases it himself. this isnt against the vbulletin license agreement. but you could try to contact the host coz most have a TOS which states that you cannot host trainers on your site.

The sites distribute them as well as have guides on how to use them while playing. Many guides have been posted on how to create your own trainer or add commands so the game's own anti-cheat system will not function properely. I don't really want to have to take this up to the next level.

                        You have no case.

For example, if EA Games were to host Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault servers instead of private people hosting them, you would. Essentially every gaming community has a cheating and anti-cheating community. If someone is using 'hacks' on your server to raise their own score or bypass your anti-cheat, then ban them and quit crying about it.

Think about this for a minute....

                          1. You can't ban a hacker, They bypass the WHOLE thing, anti-cheat, banning, kicking and every other form making them leave forcefully.

                          2. Every server has one (check by reading log files).

                          3. Using trainers on public servers are illegal violating the law of countries in which the server is hosted.

Where can I find the new rules? So I can make sure to stay inline around here...

                              Which law is that?

There's a reason people run third party anti-cheats in addition to the default one. Also, I've never seen a hack that disallows someone to be banned.
