  • Serial ATA - 2 ? Hard drives not ready yet?

I do not know if anybody knows which company sells serial ata 2, but I got an email about a motherboard in the mail with the request to write a review about serial ata 2. I think it will be short: it is useless to buy a new motherboard for this, if there are no hds on the market yet!

So just in case I am mistaken, does anybody know?

I could look into sata2 benefits, but I see no reason to suggest to people to invest into it - the motherboard will probably be outdated at the time the hds come out?

Benefits could be better & faster NCQ, data transfer and uhm. coolness for raid0/1 as onboard chip + very good performance (at least in speed: 300MB/s+). But that would be all guess.

Now that I asked: Are there motherboards with nForce4 chipset on it too, in combination with sATA2?

Supposedly Samsung is building drives for the standard.

Thank you very much, I have contacted Samsung and browsed that site for reference.
