  • Why poeple Say that VB2 is best then VB3

    Hello

I see that many members is saying that vb2 is best then vb3

about me i never test vb2 so if u think it is the best or not .. pleasepost your comments here..

    thankyou

I've used both, and I find vb3 to be better. When people first see vb3, they don't like how different it looks, but it's only a matter of getting used to it, and then you'll wonder how you ever lived without its new features.

Never tried neither 2 or 3...

According to logic, vB 2 is supposed to be faster than 3.
vBulletin customer since February 27 2005!

            Me too.
Why would a newer version get slower? I'm sure not as many sites (especially the big ones) would have upgraded if it got slower...

He probably thinks that the extra features slow it down. Which would be true if vBulletin 3 was vBulletin 2 with extra features. Luckily, it isn't; it is a brand new database with brand new code.

I much prefer the look and feel of VB2 - I realise I could use templates to make VB3 look like Vb2 but I haven't got the time.

I also hear from quite a few people that Vb3 can kill your server on large forums - not a risk I am prepared to take.

vB3 is less server intensive than vB2.

Do you honestly think vBulletin would develop a new board that is MORE server intensive than a previous version? They go forward, not backward.

The folks on howard stern's forum seem to disagree with vB3 being more server intensive.

Yes - what was I thinking

                              Did they use Vb2 before?

Quite frankly I only value the opinions of those people running big boards that have upgraded in this issue.

                              Thanks for the input tho
