Funny is these threads are pointless because 1) they're done at least once a month, and 2) all that's 'officially' given is a hint as they don't wish to make any release date announcements since all people do is whine about them.
I don't think the portals at vB.org are 'unstable'... and you're welcome to write your own if you don't like those
