    Hey all,

I have been a fan of the work they have made since the start, and probably will remain a pixar studio fan for quite some years.

Therefor I found this a great read, hopefully you agree.

Interesting reading... It will be interesting to see how much of their audience was because of the Disney name and the Disney marketing machine in the long run. Toy Story made a lot of money in the theatres but it made 5 times that on VHS, DVD and merchandising sales put out by Disney.

Pixar rocks!!! I remember when they were one of the first 3D companies out and Renderman was the ultimate rendering engine. I wanted it so bad (I still haven't gotten it ). I remember that while on vacation in San Francisco, back in the 1980's, my father and I road the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to Richmond just so I could see where Pixar was located. This was right after they had won the Academy Award for Luxo Jr. and long before the days of Toy Story or Finding Nemo. I think there work, and products are awsome even if they have nothing to do with Disney. They were great before Disney, and will still be great without them!
