I installed Apache, Perl, PHP and MySQL on my PC here: http://www.webdevtips.com/webdevtips...ff/index.shtml. It takes you through all the steps, in the order that it's best done, in pretty much plain English. Everything was installed and running smoothly in one evening (about 5 hours total). I also installed phpbb at the time, for completeness and to get my feet wet, but of course I'm a vB guy all the way these days.
(Strange, I couldn't get that address to be a hyperlink; and yes, I do know how to do it. I had to post the complete URL. ?? )Last edited by cbiweb; Sun 25 Apr '04, 7:35pm.

Packages to install apache/php/mysql on home computer?
I know I have seen various little package programs to install all of the above at once on a home/test computer.
Unfortunately I can't remember which one was mentioned as the best. Do you all have any suggestions?Tags: None
