I'm not sure how much the renewal costs for upgrades are with UBB.Threads but it looks more expensive than vBulletin.

Get one of those internet programmed washing machines that are starting to come out and it can. It can even order groceries for you with the GE Internet Fridge.

What will be cool is when AIBO or the Honda Robot have wireless and you can press a button in the AdminCP and have them bring you lunch.

Yea ive seen some cool new technolgys to, hopefully by the time I reach 30 robots will allow me to be a very lazy person, mabey I will never have to use my legs again

        Back on topic..

I like vBulletin because of the control via the admin cp, every page can be tweaked, changed, or tottaly disabled. Managing usergroups/users is very easy, you can even asign users custom permissions, if you don't need to asign custom perms to anyone you can turn the ability off and save some server load.

IMHO this is what makes vBulletin the best out there, the developers will add highly requested fetures to the board even if they are a bit server intensive, and they always include a switch to turn these options off.

vBulletin was created out of the need for forum software that was very powerful while still begin able to scale well and be used on very busy and active boards. It is also writtin in a code that almost anyone can pick up, learn and run on their home computer (www.php.net).

For only $69 more then vB, you too can have that board! lol I did notice a "lifetime" license though. Maybe vB could try that although renewels at $30yr (about the price of beer and pizza) is not bad.
