  • While You're Waiting - XP SP2 RC1 Available

    Since everyone is waiting to download vb3 gold I figured I give you something else to download while you wait.

    XP SP2 RC1 is available for public preview.

            I've already read about this. I'm downloading it for the heck of it. When the download is done, it will be deleted from my hard drive. I'm going to hold out until the Gold release of Windows XP SP2, I'm not comfortable installing a preview service pack.

                People are complaining about slow download speeds, when I tryed downloading directly from MS.com i was getting 14 KB/s. I fired up flashget 1.50 and got it in

                  Lately I've been downloading from Microsoft.com at 56k speeds on my 10Mb/sec connection. I wonder why.

                    We have been complaining about download speeds through the whole sp2 beta. They seem to have throttled download speed to 60-70k.

                      looks like just a bunch of security updates put into one pack.... perhaps for the security concious, but thats not me

                              Supposedly it is significantly more, including a vastly improved firewall. It would be interesting to know if it can compete with ZoneAlarm Pro (what I'm using now).
