The most convincing one I got was one from "visa security." I wonder how many people got duped with that one.

Indeed - I got an email asking me to verify my identity about a month ago - I almost fell for it too

I have processed quite some fraud. emails in the last period.

They are quite good these days, only the spoof email server is found through proper header id-tracing and all the links in the email are real, except the one that you have to follow to login - so even users who are aware, have to try really hard to find out if it is fake or not.

Basicly: For anything that requires security, like PayPal logins >> Always goto your browser and type in the https:// address. Don't click any links from Emails.

Against fraudalent emails the redirect the customer to non-paypal sites and ask for their login information specifically. Of course Paypal cannot safeguard stuff outside their site.
