I've created this topic to demonstrate how badly this forum handles links and to show why friendly URL's are so important. When you copy the link from the address bar and paste it anywhere, instead of getting this
    Code:
    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum/vbulletin-5-connect/vbulletin-5-connect-feedback/4327340-čľčťň-čľčť-ň
    , you will get this:
    Code:
    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum/vbulletin-5-connect/vbulletin-5-connect-feedback/4327340-%C4%8D%C4%BE%C2%9A%C4%8D%C5%A5%C2%9E%C3%BD%C3%A1%C3%AD%C3%A9%C2%9E%C3%BA%C3%A4%C3%B4%C5%88-%C4%8D%C4%BE%C2%9A%C4%8D%C5%A5%C2%9E%C3%BD-%C3%A1%C3%AD%C3%A9%C2%9E%C3%BA%C3%A4%C3%B4%C5%88
. And that is terribly wrong and looks very unprofessional.

ok, good idea to test it. You get an email notification and it should bring you to this message.

The correct way how a friendly URL with this text:
      Code:
      čľščťžžň-čľščťž-žň
      should look like is this:
      Code:
      http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum/vbulletin-5-connect/vbulletin-5-connect-feedback/4327340-clsctzyaiezuaon-clsctzy-aiezuaon
You had that in early version of vb5. Why cant you put it back?

I just found out that this problem was already mentioned here:
        http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBV-9892

So I petitioned to reopen it. And here, in this text, you can see another problem with this forum. Why is this text made as a link?

Actualy VBV-9892 is for fixing the accent characters only when navigating between pages in a topic. It doesn't fix the long ugly URLs itself. That should be fixed in http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBV-4528.

This problem is easily fixed in another, much more advanced forum. And that is with "Romanize titles in URLs" option. I am so stupid wasting my time with vB5.

Not needed if the site is using UTF8MB4 in the database, a UTF-8 character set for the language, and a UTF-8 compatible locale in the language. This site is not using any of those at this time.

My website is using all you mentioned. Other, more advanced forums, have fix for the problem in this topic. This vB5 forum doesn't have the fix after several years and they don't even understand this problem.
