No truncation, but it doesn't show up when using the UTF-8 style to post and view - British expatriate community

Switching back to the English US style still doesn't display the character posted in the previous post.

Let's see what happens when I post the character under English US. - British expatriate community

All is well for posting and viewing under US English

Now let's switch back to the UTF-8 style... - British expatriate community

Once again, the * characters from all previous posts are not displayed correctly.

It look like there is a problem with UTf-8 handling.

          On my site:
          1) the database server and client is UTF-8
          2) the vB language is set to UTF-8
          3) Apache is set to UTF-8

Attempting to post the * character results in all characters following that character to be truncated.

If I manually enter the data into the database. It views correctly through PHPmyAdmin, but it does not show up when viewed through vBulletin.
