  • Skins transferable?

    Hey,

I customized the default vB skin for my vB2.3.3 installation. (http://geekvalley.com)

If I upgrade to 3, do I have to start the skin over? Or is anything transferable? Or...?

    Thanks for your help.

vB2 styles do not work in vB3. You will need to redo them.

Note that you might as well wait for the Gamma version of vB3 which will have the final style.

Is there a target release date for it?

          Hi Stve,

Is there a tutorial to convert our old themes to vB3?

          Thanks

That's a shame, it would help a lot of us.

I know graphics basics with Photoshop.
              I'm not an expert. :-(

exactly, you can't really write a tutorial on how to code a forum, every forum has its own unique code there are alot of people who will do it for you if you pay them, and some, like me, are changing styles from older versions of vb to 3.0 for very little..
so, you have to learn html/css or hire someone to do it for you, no real way around that

HTML and basic coding is easy for me.
Graphics are more difficult, but I do basics.
