  • Possible to "frame" thread titles without chopping header?

I wonder if it is possible to frame the threads list without the header above it appearing automatically in the frame (unless the viewer scrolls up).

The idea is to skip the heading such as vBulletin logo--user buttons--navigations links---etc.---and show only the list of thread titles.

For example, on the threads listing page that you viewed just before coming here: ....

.... I want to "frame" this so that the very first thing at the top of the frame is the column title "Thread" followed by "Announcement: Check the faq!" etc.

You can get a rough idea what I am doing in an incomplete mock-up at

Therefore, with 2-3 such frames, I could show the thread titles from 2-3 title pages of my vBulletin forum on a single page. (Then of course I must get the vB to add something like <target="_parent"> to every thread link---but one problem at a time, please!)

I assume that I can just "chop off" the entire heading on every vB page--or maybe put the heading at the bottom of the page--but would like to keep the option either to use or not to use my framed page for certain forums. Therefore the ideal is not to change the vB format drastically---but just to "skip the header" when shown inside a frame.

I have tried inserting <a name="1"> at the bottom of the header in the template---and adding #1 to the url of the page---doesn't seem to work. (And why should it? It's PhP not HTML...)

As you can see, I don't even know html very well, so maybe this is way above my head---but would appreciate any suggestions. Or do I need to go to the hacker's forum?

As I said, there is an incomplete mock-up of my goal at ---as you can see, the header showing within the frames makes a mess out of the concept.
