  • Changing the ONOFF Gifs to Pngs

    I want to change the gifs that are like on onlocked off offlocked to PNGS, how would i go about configuring this?

        Well it appears that this is a problem, Gifs are not always the most efficent format for Web graphics, They have a restricted 216 colors, but PNG {Portable Network Graphics} can hold a JPEG quality image for the size of GIF, I dont see why Vbulletin dosent have a feature that allows you to change an image type :|

          Just create your images in .png format, and change the filenames in your templates.

          The reason that it's not supported is because GIF is still by far the most popular format, and changing it would limit development/customization of vBulletins quite a lot, since many software do not natively export to PNG.
