  • How Do I Copy Text From Buttons

I have photoshop 7 and I need help with one task. I need to remove the text from the PSD file and place it onto the new button that I made. Either that or find the font used for the original buttons. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Fooey!

Okay, I figured out the first part... But for some reason the button smears out side of the ends. Does anyone know what i did wrong?

Why would you like to use the same font text?

That's very good. Mine looks like a poor cousin now! haha. I found one button that I loved and wanted to make ther rest. Of course I have no idea how they made this with the drop shadow[?] etc... and the plastic/pearly look. I figured the font with the original was what they used. This is the button I found.

Do you know who makes these? The font is really nice.

Mmm it seems to be the Skia font (search in google) but I'm not sure, Skia is really a very nice font but maybe not recomendable for little images

Thanks, but I already looked. I found the font [williamette].

How do you get the font to have a border? I tried in both photoshop and paintshop but cant seem to get it to work.

When you right-click a text layer, choose layering options.

Then check the box next to stroke on the left hand bar, and then choose your settings (e.g. how thick, what color, etc.)

Then check OK. You can still edit your text after that, btw.

Mist, the blue button ended up being from the Apple set floating around here. It's a linkage set. I don't know what you mean about releasing them... But I'm still practicing on buttons. Thanks for the props!

I wanted to thank C-Prompt, Genetics and the ever resourcefull FireFly. You guys have been great. I finished my first set. So, what do you think?
