It's going to be redone completely though (postbit). I have some new ideas, and the current one is just too simple.

Well technically I DID edit my postbit Though its no where near as different or as complex as Yaxay and some of the ones here. The userinfo pane uses the same color combo, while the posts themselves use the 2 alternating colors. Perhaps I'll try making a fancier looking postbit later on.

              I have edited mine some.
Still working on it, but here is a small sample.
Ph, and no picking on me for my typo in the post. It was just a random post I chose...not even realizing I had a typo. hehehehe

                Modification to postbit template

So far, I haven't done much to it but breaking the posts apart from eachother. And I have put the subject & quote: part in their own table, and I have put the signature, edited by and report/ip part in their own table. So they would like up the way I want to. I still need to find out how I can make the signature part always stick to the bottom of that cell, so it doesn't show up halfway in the air sometimes when the post is a one-liner.

I'm not too knowledgable about html, but I did change that template around a little.

Well, I could make it stick to the bottom, but I would have difficulty explaining how to do it. But if people want, I could take the basic layout and do just that. It isn;t that hard. The thing to remember is that the part you are talking about is floating, and you guys also have really long postbits. But it is possible. You just have to place it in a nestled table with two rows, the bottom row will have the report/ip in it, and the top will have the message, ect. Ok, and you will want to set this table's overall height to 100%, but make the lower row static, as in 10 pixels, and make the top one take up the remainder with height *.
And jut to be safe, I would set it so it is aligned to the bottom of the cell it is in.

Anyway, Dimitri, it is certainly a nice looking layout at first glance, but I must comment that I found it hard to know what any of the buttons were. As a new user that would likely frustrate me a tad but. Sorry.

No need to be sorry, I actually agree with you. However, my board only serves a small community (around 100 or so) with few or no new users so the 'ease of use' criteria didn't really factor in. I also have another style that's more default for them to select if they don't like this one.

BTW, some very nice looking boards on here.

This will cause a line along the bottom, seperating it from the rest of the post.
                                If that is undesirable...
                                I have another one coming.
