  • AIM ICQ Yahoo buttons

    I was looking through my images folder and came across these three icons. What are they for? I can't seem to find them in any template.

    Thanks

    These are some postbit buttons. Think of it this way... If a user has a website and adds that to their profile, the little WWW button shows up in the postbit, right?

    Well, in your usercp, you have the fields for AIM Username, ICQ Number etc, right? Fill those in and those AIM, ICQ, ETC buttons will show up as well if you enable them to.

    To enable them go to your postbit template and find this:
    Code:
    $post[profile] $post[pmlink] $post[useremail] $post[homepage] $post[search] $post[buddy]
    			<!-- $ post[icqicon] --> <!-- $ post[aimicon] --> <!-- $ post[yahooicon] -->
    Now, see those <!-- --> around some of the options? If you get rid of the <!-- and the --> around them and then bring the $ sign to touch the post[whatever] part, they will act just like the WWW buttons and appear in the postbit.

    Hope that helps.

      Except they are very ugly. I modified the PSD and attached it in a thread about this in vB.org, you can find it here. There is also a link in my last post there to the way I modified the templates to work with those images.
