        to modify the index.php, you need to change the Forum Homepage Template.

        Edit all 4 forumhome_forumbit_level templates if you want the onmouseover to show for everyone all the time.

          Altering index.php is code-hacking, and this thread is not the thread for that.

            No, he means the look of the index.php is controlled by the forumhome templates. He doesnt mean any changes to index.php are needed.

                [Add On] Search Pages

                This is very nice xiphoid ! I have an other ADD ON:

                If you want to have the same HIGHLIGHT in the Search-Result Page you can use:

                Goto the Admin Control Panel,
                find the template: searchresultbit_threadonly and from it find the first (and only the first):
                Code:
                <td bgcolor="{firstaltcolor}" align="left">
                and replace it with:
                Code:
                <td bgcolor="{firstaltcolor}" align="left"
                onMouseOver="this.style.backgroundColor='{secondaltcolor}';
                this.style.cursor='hand';"
                onMouseOut="this.style.backgroundColor='{firstaltcolor}';"
                onClick="window.location.href='showthread.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&threadid=$searchresult[threadid]$highlightwords'">

                          For highlighting announcements, you say find the template "foruX", what template is this? I cannot find it.

                          Please excuse me if this is a silly question, but I'm still not that accustomed to vB as i've only owned one for a few months.

                          Thanks in advance!

                              You probably applied it to the wrong <td> tag. Retry by following the steps in the first post.
