[vB4] Where are header, headinclude, footer, etc?

Hi,

I'm helping a friend with his vb4 install, keeping it up to date and spam free and such. I'm a sysadmin type, not a designer and he had someone else do the style customization for him.

Today I upgraded to 4.1.0 PL2. Things went smoothly, and looked mostly alright. However, under the control panel there were a few notices about failed merges in the upgrade to the style. No big deal, I took a look through the code and didn't see anything that looked horribly out to lunch. No colour changes, and all html - no css. I went ahead with the merges, only a few lines to change, but now the site looks like a disaster whereas before I did these merges it was pretty much fine. I backed up the file structure but after digging for the past half an hour I can't find where these damn files are to revert them.

Any help? Let me know if I can provide more info for clarity.

In the admincp, click the styles and templates option and then search in templates. Remember to select the correct style before changing any templates.

Yes, I found those ones, but where are they stored on the filesystem (or are they in the database)? I need to know where to go in my backups to be able to go back to my previous ones.

I would suggest setting up a test site with the old database with the old files. That way you can see your previous templates.

As far as I know the templates are stored in the database. Perhaps someone else can help further.

Templates are stored in the database.

The 'no css' issue you describe is likely to be due to a misconfigured setting. Most likely, the forum URL one.

Take a look at the source of the page. Does the link to the css look 'right', or is it missing something?
