[vB4] Forum Title and Thread Title Font Color..How to change it?

These forums have been very helpful for a beginner. I have found many answers to nOOb questions with minimal trouble finding them

But, How do I change the font color for both Forum and Thread Titles?

I've done a search of the site, the web via google and can't find an answer on this that someone who is brand new to such a thing can follow. There were some suggestions I found regarding the html code, that part I get. But where to enter the code? How to find where that particular place is within the admin console etc? Verbatim code suggestions for someone who does not have an experienced bank of html knowledge etc. were not something I found. The answers I discovered where like steps 5,6,7 with no mention on how to do steps 1-4 lol.

Is there a patient person out there who remembers what it was like to set up one of these boards with little to no html or css knowledge that can either write me a step by step tutorial or link to one that I missed?

The colors of the forum and thread titles could be different based on the page, and location of the item on the page. So, if you can be more specific about what you are looking for, that would help.

If you find a post of mine with suggested CSS, I always put mine in the additional.css template.

I add the following to additional.css

        .sticky a.title {color: blue;}
	.lock a.title {color: red;}
	.hot a.title {color: maroon;}

Look at this image:



For example all of the forum titles, i.e. "Perez Kenpo Karate Announcements" are that dark maroonish red..I want to change them to something else..Where/how do I do that? I did look at the documentation you linked me too and there was nothing relevant there, at least not that I found. Why is this so difficult to do? Why not have a setting for this in the style variations manager just like you can set the background color of the Forum title block and the text color of the forum description?

Your image is from the forum.php page. firebug tells me the forum title color come from "body a" which is the stylevar "link_color"

BINGO! "link_color" was all I needed! Thanks a bunch! That in fact took care of another issue I was gonna work on next as well!
