I'd like some falling snow on my forums homepage, something like what they've got at www.dreamhost.com
Can anyone tell me how I can do it?

Thanks Sinecure! You're always a fountain of info! I was hoping for something much smaller but this nice.

        Hi,
if we're talking about the snow itself, you can take any image you want...
I really enjoy Altan's script, I started using it last year on my UB - very nice work!

Think carefull before applying a snow effect on your site... Some of them can really slow down your computer (especially if you have one or two browser windows running in the background with such an effect). So be sure to do some test runs with it before you expose your users to it!

Use the one without images it won't slow it up.

i used that script on my forums over the festive period, without images, and it slowed things horribly for older pcs. not too bad when just one browser window open, but anything that runs continual javascript like that is gonna suck up system resources..
