    vBulletin 3.7.2 - NavBar questions

    Hello,

I'm trying to add a "Home Page" button to the NavBar template of my forums that will link back to the home page of the website, since it doesn't seem to have one, but I can't figure out how.

    Can anyone assist me?

    Thank you!

Do I fill in the homeurl and hometitle, or do I leave them?

Also, when I add in the lines of code, I get the following error when trying to save:

"The following error occurred when attempting to evaluate this template:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting ']' in /usr/home/touchtgb/public_html/forums/includes/adminfunctions_template.php(3716) : eval()'d code on line 79

This is likely caused by a malformed conditional statement. It is highly recommended that you fix this error before continuing, but you may continue as-is if you wish."

        Leave it please.
If you add this code exactly without any change then you can save change normally!

        Best regards!

If I make the changes and save the template, I don't see anything different.

You can check the page at the following link, maybe I'm just not seeing it:

I may just be doing things wrong; I don't know a lot about PHP.

I pasted in the new NavBar code into the template and saved and reloaded and I'm still not seeing any change?

Maybe the template style itself doesn't let you add new buttons?

Only two, the default vBulletin one and the World of Warcraft one.

Then I think you change default style so try to change second style and tell me please!

Maybe the template style itself doesn't let you add new buttons?

I'm pretty sure that I was editing the World of Warcraft style, since that's the one that has the check in the box in the Style Manager.

I go to the Style Manager and choose "Edit Templates" from the drop down box for the World of Warcraft style and scroll down to the Navigation/Breadcrumb Templates and choose the "navbar" template from those options.

Is that not the right template?

                            Yes it is right!
                            well, let make small test:
Open navbar template and add one word like: TEST at the end of template and save change and take a look to the forum.
Will you see TEST in forum under navbar or not?

I guess you were right about changing the Default Template.

It's all working as it should be, now. Thanks so much for your help and patience. Still a bit new to PHP and vBulletin.
