  • Newb question: how do I edit a template?

    Hi all,

I'm a complete newb to VBulletin and just bought a license + a template.

I'm scratching my head a little right now to know where and how I can edit this little monster. The vbulletin-style.xml file seems to be the one place where the style/html is located but it calls to some variables like $header that I can't find defined anywhere.

Can anyone give me a quick 'Vbulletin customization 101' or point me to a how-to somewhere?

    Thanks a lot!
    Sam

      Here's our manual : http://www.vBulletin.com/docs/html

It will explain how to install (import) a .xml style for vBulletin.

It also has the info on the style manager & templates.

You do not actually edit the .xml file, you do this all from the admincp/ styles & templates section, from vBulletin.
