  • Placing in large logo/picture?

Hope I explain my question here clearly. I’m quite sure this is the correct place for this question as I imagine it must have something to do with the StyleVars settings. I’m in need of a logo for my site which can be done with some help from some of the members on my site who have volunteered to work on a logo as I know nothing about Photo Shop programs and the like.

Before I go further as the old saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words so here is a link to a site that has exactly what I’m after. http://www.bonsainut.com/
Instead of just some logo sitting at the top of my pages: Homepage/Forum page I would very much like to have an entire picture as it were as the backdrop for them. Placing the name of my site in the upper left of the picture of course should not present a problem and can easily be done I’m sure. However, after that I’m stumped! vBulletin will simply assume that it is a logo and push the entire page down so as to make room for such a large image. How on earth do I set it so the logo/picture will act as the Page Background.? Not at all sure if I explained that well or if that is indeed what must be done. Most obviously there is a way to do it as one can see from the link I gave. I really need help on this and if anyone knows how this can be done if you would be kind as to please explain clearly as to exactly
and in detail as to what I must do as to any settings or changes that I may possibly have to make to achieve this. For what it’s worth I have also enclosed the picture that I wish to use sans the name of my site in the upper left which still yet must be done. Looking forward as to the answer with this problem.

    Regards, Phil

They do not have a logo, they're using a background image.

That still does not answer my question. How is it done?

Upload an image to folder /misc/custom_background.gif and then enter the url path to CSS field and save. It is not the same one that the site uses, as they created a css class and enter it to header template.

AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > All Style Options or Main CSS [Go] > Body > Standard CSS Attributes > Background: url(images/misc/custom_background.gif) no-repeat
