Either you revert them, or use the template comparison tool and add the new template changes manually.

But how to compare them and edit them?

Is it necessary to export each modified template (both default and customized) out to text files and compare and merge them there and then import the new template back in?

There are options for editing and comparing the templates built-in: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/s...pare_templates

Thanks for the quick reply. I am familiar with the built in tool to compare. But then the question is how do you do the merge?

          Thanks!

You don't merge them. If you're not reverting, you're manually editing in the changes.

Yes, but how? Copying each changed template out to text file (both old and new versions), do the merge with a compare/merge tool, and then update the new customized template?

You could do it that way; I personally just have one tab open with the template I'm editing, and the other tab with the old/new template side by side to see what's changed and make the edits that way.
