  • how can I do this cooool thing?

    I always found the multi-page style of vB where page numbers are displayed at the bottom of the page, rather boring..
    So I thought about modifying it & I came across a site running a forign language bb with a somewhat cool way of displaying the pages. Here is a snapshot of it..

    Questions is: how can modify vB 2.0.1 so that it looks more like this.. Also note that whenever a page is accessed, that page number is highlighted in the table.

    Any Ideas?

            OK but do you have a link to the page you posted a screen shot of? I really think that's CSS not images.

                  I think that if vBulletin wants to be the best (and in my opinion, it is).. I think we should find a way to mimic this little feature..

                    Indeed with my styleset it's virtually impossible to see what page you are on in a 60 page thread. I've had some complaints

                    I will have a go at repilcating this for VB but would be happier if the excellent kevin coded it

                      There you go Kevin.. There's a formal challenge (or should I say "invitation") to replicate this thing.

                          I think this need a hack.
                          In showthread.php
                          edit
                          PHP Code:
                          if ($pagenumber==1) {

                          $firstpage_atag="";

                          $prevpage_atag="";
                            } else {

                          $endfirstprevtag '</smallfont></a>';

                          $firstpage_atag="<a href=\"$shorturl&pagenumber=1\" class=\"thtcolor\"><smallfont color=\"{tableheadtextcolor}\">";

                          $prevpage_atag="<a href=\"$shorturl&pagenumber=".($pagenumber-1)."\" class=\"thtcolor\"><smallfont color=\"{tableheadtextcolor}\">";
                            }
                            if (
                          $pagenumber==$totalpages) {

                          $lastpage_atag="";

                          $nextpage_atag="";
                            } else {

                          $endlastnexttag '</smallfont></a>';

                          $lastpage_atag="<a href=\"$shorturl&pagenumber=$totalpages\" class=\"thtcolor\"><smallfont color=\"{tableheadtextcolor}\">";

                          $nextpage_atag="<a href=\"$shorturl&pagenumber=".($pagenumber+1)."\" class=\"thtcolor\"><smallfont color=\"{tableheadtextcolor}\">";
                            }

                          $lastpage_atag and so on should be edit,but how to edit?
