    Sorry, I don't have any more ideas. I'm sure there is something simple causing this problem, but can't think of where else to look. Can you send me whole xml file from your style? Then I'll quickly find/fix problem on my test forum as its way much easier to find solution when you see all template files.

    I will try and give that ago!
    I am trying to remember what edits I have made in the past! Wonder if any of those could be effecting the layout?

    Got VBadvanced, Welcome Headers thats about all really. I edited the header and header include templates to change a few small things. Dont think that would of effected it!

    Thanks for your help CyberAlien,
    Dave

    I think removing $spacer_open and $spacer_close in that template might solve the problem as it will get rid of that padding, hovewer I don't think this is correct solution and I think there is something in "showthead" template that causes it.

    Which showthread template?
    SHOWTHREAD
    showthread_list
    showthread_quickreply
    SHOWTHREAD_SHOWPOST
    showthread_similarthreadbit
    showthread_similarthreads

    Found this in postbit_wrapper:
    PHP Code:
    <!-- post #$post[postid] -->
    <if condition="$show['spacer']">

    $spacer_open

    <div id="edit$post[postid]style="padding:0px 0px $stylevar[cellpadding]px 0px">
        <if
    condition="!$post['islastshown']"><!-- this is not the last post shown on the page --></if>
    </if>

    $postbit

    <if condition="$show['spacer']">
        </
    div>

    $spacer_close
    </if>
    <!-- /
    post #$post[postid] -->
    As I said earlier, There are only a couple of templates that have been changed!

    Thanks,
    Dave

    Problem is caused by padding set in spacer_open template, but I'm not sure where exactly to fix it. Can you post your showthread template?

    Thanks for the reply CyberAlien,
    But .......
    I checked for spacer_open and spacer_close in the postbit_legacy template - could not find anything!

    Thanx

    Remove spacer_open and spacer_close from postbit_legacy. spacer_open is already included before every postbit and spacer_close after every postbit, so you don't need to include it twice

    Thread / Post Width

    Hi,
    Hope someone can help.

    I have a problem where the threads / posts are widths are smaller than the Thread header (sorry I cannot explain better!! ) here is a link:
    http://www.forum.familyhistory.uk.co...read.php?t=369

    I have only edited a couple of bits, such as header ect.. so do,t know where this has come from!

    Thanks,
    Dave
