  • Submit your vbulletin forum here!

I run several vbulletin forums and thought this would be a great site to build. Those familiar with digg will get the basic idea. You are able to have users of your forum submit newsworthy threads which people then vote on, comment on,and bookmark. Think of it as social linking. It's a great way to get more traffic to your forum which benefits us all. It's super easy to integrate into any version of vbulletin. Here is the link to the 3.6 version of the template modification: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showt...ight=threadtag

The site itself is http://www.threadtag.com (i'm very open to suggestions)

    Thanks
    Brian

Wait, you have a site about forum threads and it doesn't have it's own forum?

I think as a whole this is a great idea. Digg (et al) concentrates on actual webpages, this could handle user made threads.

I suspect it would be easy to abuse though. Lets say Johnny from really_popular_forum.com submits a thread and all his mates come over and tag(?) it. It might hit frontpage based on their votes alone.

If you can come up with an algorithm clause that says "multiple tags from members of the same site are weighed down" or "look for tag patterns amongst certain people, then do something about it" that would handle that.

If you're serious about such a project you should drop a thread onto theadminzone.com and see how people react.
